Thousand asteroids threatening Earth...

Alarm from Moscow: over a thousand asteroids threatening Earth. This was stated by the Director of the Institute of Astronomy, Russian Academy of Sciences, Boris Shustov. "Almost 7,000 objects approaching the Earth, and from 1,000 to 1,200 of them are potentially hazardous" he said. Catalogued from Moscow "about 150 objects larger than one kilometer and about 1,000 objects with size from 100 meters to a kilometer, in the case of an impact could cause a catastrophe.
Fortunately, you do not know when objects with dimensions of hundreds of meters or more in real collision course with Earth and are very rare. What worries most is the asteroid 99942 Apophis which has a diameter of about 400 meters. In 2029 the Earth will rise to almost 37,000 km away, but in 2036 the possibility that it clashes with our planet are 1 against 45,000.
