The laptop on your lap?

Hold too long on the laptop resting on the legs can cause stains on the skin with an unusual sponge effect. This is what happened to a twelve year old, whose case appears in the journal Pediatrics. The boy resorted to the care of doctors for several months after he had played on the computer, keeping always on the same leg. The doctors call this phenomenon as "syndrome toaster", comparable to the effects of prolonged sun exposure. The base of a laptop can reach, in fact, even the 52 ° and, experts point out, cause permanent cosmetic damage, but harmless. The same may happen with the use of hot water bottles.

Washer without a rope...

A very brave window cleaner, at least as he does his job on one of the tallest skyscrapers in Dubai. The 50-story building is in an area called Jumeirah Beach.

The man washes the outside of the windows of the 34th floor, without any type of protection nor rope. Simply holding one arm to the window and cleans it with his other arm, remaining suspended in the air at the risk of falling from a height that would not give refuge to any human being. But the ease with which the man do his job, it seems that this did not create many problems.

Thousand asteroids threatening Earth...

Alarm from Moscow: over a thousand asteroids threatening Earth. This was stated by the Director of the Institute of Astronomy, Russian Academy of Sciences, Boris Shustov. "Almost 7,000 objects approaching the Earth, and from 1,000 to 1,200 of them are potentially hazardous" he said. Catalogued from Moscow "about 150 objects larger than one kilometer and about 1,000 objects with size from 100 meters to a kilometer, in the case of an impact could cause a catastrophe.
Fortunately, you do not know when objects with dimensions of hundreds of meters or more in real collision course with Earth and are very rare. What worries most is the asteroid 99942 Apophis which has a diameter of about 400 meters. In 2029 the Earth will rise to almost 37,000 km away, but in 2036 the possibility that it clashes with our planet are 1 against 45,000.

What a bed...

Sheets sidewalks that seem made of stone or cardboard boxes. It 's the provocative Snurk, a collection of bed linen designed by a Dutch couple to raise awareness to the plight of the homeless. The name says it all: The homeless and the Trottoir. But it's for a good cause: a percentage of sales is donated to the homeless, build shelters and make sure that especially the younger ones may have a roof over your head.
